Assistant Manager - Channel sales

Job Description:   

Overview: The role focuses on business development via distribution and will oversee development of new markets via channel partners (traditionally known as brokers). The role requires consistent effort in developing markets and maintaining strong relationship and sourcing deals from existing channel partners. 

KRA’s:

  • To achieve the set sales numbers as agreed with the immediate superior
  • Ensure that adequate market share for the company is maintained through Channel Partners
  • Thorough knowledge of all the Channel Partners in his/her assigned territory Keep track of their activities Constantly educating & motivating them to become a part of our business
  • To be completely abreast with the product knowledge & sales process 
  • Take ownership of all the leads & religiously follow them for desired closure
  • To maintain a sales calendar for all events & activities planned during the month
  • To keep thoroughly abreast with competition & their activities including current pricing, offers, special features of the project & any other relevant information helpful for sales
  • Auditory compliance for company standards and correct representation; sales hygiene

KPI’s:

  • Revenue per Channel Partner (RPC)
  • New CP Addition & Business acquisition
  • Channel Partner Retention Rate (CRR)
  • Business Contribution & Consistency
  • Target vs Achievement

Skillset/Key traits:

  • The role requires the candidate to perform market expansion & go-to-market strategy. Previous roles in territory/zonal management with large team sizes are ideal profiles.
  • Candidates are welcome from all industries including FMCG/FMCD, Telecom, BFSI
  • Understanding of distribution, channel management and Field sales.
  • Work experience of 2-4 years


Qualification: Any Graduate

Keyskills:   direct sales, hardcore sales, real estate sales
